A pleasant enough adult coming of age story, 'Utterly Monkey' examines what it means to be a friend and why it is important to remember where you are from. Some really funny scenes and a witty use of language, Mr. Laird has created a good first novel. I look forward to seeing what more can come from him. Great recommendation for fans of Nick Hornby. read review
