For the Mandalorians out there, you should know that the first Mand'alor was known as Mand'alor the Indomitable (say that ten times fast). Here is one you're sure to get...maybe.

Thought some of you might accept this challenge; after all, I do read more than just Star Wars novels.

If you are like me, than I imagine, like any decent bookaholic, you have your favorite authors; writers you read time and time again and who leave you salivate until their next novel comes out. Well, seeing as we are almost halfway through 2010, here is an easy challenge for you: Read a book from at least four new authors (4 authors you have never previously read ) before the end of the year. The idea came as I was finishing Stieg Larsson's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." I thought, "That was pretty good, I suppose I'll have to collect all of his books now, and add him to my favorites list." Fortunately for me, Larsson's novel means I need only choose three more writers to complete the challenge. I've included a list of some of my possible "new" writers below, and I'll keep you updated as to when I get to them.
Let me know how it goes for you or if you think my idea is just "too much" given the overflow of books you already have left to read. Either way, happy reading.

If you are wondering, and did not participate in my last question, the Star Wars Marvel Comic series ended in 1986. A very sad year. Nonetheless, here is another, possibly more difficult question to answer.

      Mandalorian lore

The first recognized leader of all the Mandalorian warriors, Mand'alor the First, was also known as what?

The Russians invented the Tsar tank; an armoured weapon with two huge wheels which was used as the template for the CIS' Hailfire droid. This next question is about the Star Wars comic book line from Marvel. Good luck.

Wow, I guess we don't have many gamers playing along with our trivia. The answer was Utapau. It does not have a space battle map. Let's see if this question goes any more smoothly. It does involve some real life history from our planet, Earth.

      The Clone Wars weaponry

The IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tank (aka the wheel droid tank) used by the CIS during the Clone Wars was partially modeled after a similar, but unsuccesful World War I (1914-18) tank designed by what nation?

The Malevolence was approximately 4800 metres long; the massive ship was longer than five Venator-class Star Destroyers. This next question is easy and deals with the planets featured in Battlefront 2, one of the most popular video games in the Star Wars series.

      Battlefront II

Which of the following planets featured in Battlefront II does not have a space map included as part of the battle?

You recognized that Mos Athol was not really a place on Tatooine. Try this one on for size.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was offered Jawa Juice while in Dexter's Diner on Coruscant. Here is another question with a Tatooine theme. Hope it is as easy as the last one, but I doubt it.

      Tatooine

Everyone has heard of Mos Espa and Mos Eisley, but which one of these "Mos" places is not a city or town on the planet, Tatooine?
