  • So what do I do now?

Posted by Sharon, 7 months ago

Is there anyone out there who has read this series and ISN'T in love with Jamie? ;)

Just finished An Echo in the Bone, and wondering what I'll do until the next one is out... and then I came across several of the comments about the graphic novel. Maybe I'll try that one next.

I've been making my way through the Lord John stories - have any of you read them? What did you think?

  • Don’t know Why I Waited SOO Long

OK, so after hearing about how great this book is and after much coercing from friends I have FINALLY read Outlander. I bought all the current books in the series MONTHS ago and had them sitting on my shelf for a long time. I kept looking at them and saying I will read them next…but that turned into months after I purchased them. So after my friends kept asking have you read it yet, have you read it yet I picked it up and began reading. I will admit that at first I didn’t know whether I would like the book or not, but once I got into I could not put it down. I LOVED IT!!! I immediately started the next in the series and am equally engrossed in it.

I don’t know why it took me soo long to read it. It is an amazing story and just pulls you in and doesn’t let you go. And then there’s Jamie…OMG!!!

I am soo glad that I FINALLY read this amazing book. I have since recommended it to a number of people I know and even a few I see looking at them in the book store..TEEHEE :D
I am looking forward to reading the others in the series and for the new ones that are to come.

  • Exile - My review

The book is lusciously illustrated but a little light on content, and definitely not for Outlander newbies. You would need to have read Outlander first to fill in some of the gaps in the graphic novel. While I liked the art work overall, it was a bit inconsistent and it was often hard to tell who was speaking, as the male characters (with the exception of Jaime) all looked very similar. There wasn't that much new story material in Exile.

I rate it 3.5 stars out of 5. I enjoyed it overall and it was a fun fast read. But if I hadn't read Outlander first, I am not sure I would have felt really connected to the characters in Exile. It is definitely worth checking out though.

P.S. Now for the important stuff - I liked how Jaime looked in Exile! Claire looked different than I would have imagined, but I got used to her...

  • Echo to the Bone with teaser!

Posted by Weepunter, 2 years ago

Hey has anyone had a look at the new paperback Echo to the Bone? Not only is it green (and I hear that is to grab our attention!), it has a preview of the new graphic Outlander from Jamie's point of view.

I had a look at it yesterday. The pictures are really quite well done. I am not usually into this type of book, but I think it will be great. And who can say no to Jamie's POV!
