    Recommendations for new readers.

    I'm a late bloomer when it comes to graphic novels and comic books. I've always loved the look, but I've always felt intimidated by comic book shops. With age I've lost most of my adolescent insecurities; however, as strange as it might sound, I haven't lost an interest in comics. I'm more intrigued then ever before, but as a new-ish reader it can feel overwhelming to know where to begin.

    I suggest looking for characters you can identify with or storylines that spark your imagination. The best part of the graphic novel experience is feeling immersed in a different reality. Embrace your imagination and take a leap!
