    The Hunchback Assignments!

I've been meaning to read The Hunchback Assignments, but I've never gotten around to it. : ( They're all "sold out". If you've read the book, leave a comment and tell me if the book is good.

Yep--it's a fast-paced steampunk novel, with interesting and very different characters (unusual teenage sleuths in an alternate-history Victorian London). It was just named an Honour Book for the Canadian Library Association's Young Adult Book Award, and they plow through over 100 books each publishing year, so it has to be a standout just to make their shortlist. If you like quirky novels set somewhere not here and not now, you'll enjoy it.
