There are some really great online fantasy magazines these days. This is one of my favourites:

    www.fantasy-magazine.com

Full disclosure: they published my story "The Tongue of Bees" this week, which of course makes me love them even more.

Reading is free, but donations are accepted.

Other authors published by Fantasy include Amanda Downum, Jay Lake, Sarah Monette, and Catherynne M. Valente, all of whom also have highly recommended novels or story collections. Enjoy!

Read it yesterday, took me a bit to clue in, but quite liked it by the end. Loved the inability to enter houses without an invite while he was flying around the town.

Do you have anything else that I can try? Books or other short stories somehwere, would love to support your work.

This was my first big publication in recent years--my other stories have all been in print periodicals, ten years ago or more. I quit writing stories for a long time for no good reason.

I have another story coming in Strange Horizons in February; will keep you posted about what comes after that! Thank you so much for asking!

I have recently read a few excellent short story collections you might also enjoy: Strange Itineraries by Tim Powers; Saffron & Brimstone by Elizabeth Hand; The Chains That We Refuse by Elizabeth Bear. All of whom are much better than me!
