    Book Meme (taken from Bella)

Posted by 'Nathan Burgoine, 4 years ago

I saw this on Bella's profile, and thought it was a good one.

    1. One book that changed your life?
'The Razor's Edge,' by Somorset Maugham. It was perfectly timed in my life to help me realize I was the one in charge of whether or not I was happy.

    2. One book that you've read more than once?
'Practical Magic,' by Alice Hoffman. It's almost as good as a hot tea and a blanket when I've got a cold.

    3. One book you would want on a desert island?
That's a terrifying question. One of my HBJ Anthologies from University, so I'd at least have a few novels, some poetry, a few plays, and some essays...

    4. One book that made you laugh?
'One for the Money,' Janet Evanovich. I laughed out loud reading this series, often on the bus.

    5. One book that made you cry?
'The Art of Racing in the Rain,' most recently. Fabulous book.

    6. One book you wish had been written?
I'm not sure it's "one book," but a few titles about gay teens being normal, healthy individuals would have been nice when I was growing up - something like 'Leave Myself Behind,' by Bart Yates.

    7. One book you wish had never been written?
I'm not sure there's a single book out there that I'd wish unwritten.

    8. One book you are currently reading?
'Landing' by Emma Donoghue. It's just lovely.

    9. One book you have meant to read?
'Hitman,' by Bret Hart. He was just such an amazing speaker, I want to read it, but it never quite makes it to the top of my "to be read" mountain.
