I'm about half way through - i'm currently enjoying it and its a pretty fast & easy read. The story is very similar to Terry Goodkind fantasy series first book the Wizards First Rule, however its set more in the present then the fantasy world of the Richard Rahl series. Its not nearly as detailed as the Wizards First Rule, but i kind of like the change. I like the main characters. basically t his point its something for a fantasy reader that wants something quick and easy but with a s… read review

Aww come on now its pretty hard to tell who knows what path you would have chosen, keep in mind you woul'dnt know everything you know now and your actions would not be as dictated by society and what is acceptable or not. Who knows you may have surprised yourself. But yeah totally if you do pick up the Carol Berg novel let me know what you thought, I am sort of biased since I've already read the books.

I actually picked up The Name of the Wind a while ago, and never got around to reading it. It's packed right now, but i should dig it out eh?:P

The three books are stages of his adventure/personal growth. The first book is about personal choice and consequences, the second book is about is about his search for a demon-possessed child which turns into a search for his own soul and existence, and the final book basically goes with the question of "What price do fate and legend demand for the power to save everything you value? Faith, friendship, gods and demons drive sorcerer and prince to the final battle of the demon war."

Hey Andrew, so sorry I gave you the wrong reading order for it, I actually somehow recommended the conclusion to the series. :P Instead of the start. You want to pick up Transformation, then Revelation and finally Restoration. I think this would actually be a great book for our reading club or just a side one. Not sure if you are fast reader like me but i'm almost done the one we are discussing soon. Let me know what you think of the series. It was dark, gritty and fantastic.
