I'm living in: Montreal
About Me:

I created my own imprint, Diamondback Books, to publish memoirs and reflections on my childhood in the Cold War. That was back in 2005, with MY COLD WAR, followed by A CERTAIN GIRL in 2009. Before that, I wrote poetry that sometimes bled into fiction, and fiction that blurred the lines between realism and surrealism. These days, I am more likely to see myself as a realist. Side-effect of ageing -- or is reality outrunning my wildest imaginings.
My Works:

A Nun's Diary, 1984, which became a play called ECHO by Robert Lepage. Also, Don Winkler made an NFB documentary about this project, entitled BREAKING A LEG. (1994) Mona's Dance, a novel about a nightclub dancer who dabbles in cosmic politics. (1988) Dead White Males, a black comedy featuring a hairdresser-detective, and cops who take creative writing. Static Control, a novel. In the age of terror, Love can still strike anywhere. (2005) A Certain Girl: a Cold War childhood
