The Upside Of Irrationality: The Unexpected Benefits of Defying Logic at Work and at Home

The Upside Of Irrationality: The Unexpected Benefits of Defying Logic at Work and at Home | Dr Dan Ariely

Great read!

This is the second super installment following Dan Ariely's popular book "Predictably Irrational". Moving beyond introducing the psychology on our irrationality in decision making, "The Upside of Irrationality" touches on how this irrationality plays it havoc in business settings and our work lives in general. The second part of the book covers the interesting contradictions in our decision makings and the pursuit of wellbeing and happiness. I have a personal preference for "Predictably irratio… read review

I pray hard for you

I pray hard.

I pray hard for you; I pray hard for safety, well being, happiness, and success, for you and your loved ones. I pray hard for that you would be okay in everything you do, for every moment, every aspect of your life.

I still pray hard for one day being your friend again, a seemingly impossible wish for an infinitely slim chance of reconciliation, for a second chance to do it right. I pray so hard that I can feel my heart jumps out of this body, this … view post

    Mike Barat says:

    Hello Ariel,
I am currently reading a book tittled Not By The Sword, written Kathryn Watterson. It's about a former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, who converts to Judaism. Because this book is nonfiction, It makes one think "YES' the world has hope after all. I have roughly a 135 pages to go. I will write a review when I finish reading. Bye for now Mike.

But I just finished The Road Less Traveled, again, and was really struck by much of what he wrote 25 years ago, now.

Thanks for saying hi. Hope you are having a good week.

Thanks so much for your note the other day. I, like you, seem to be insatiably curious about the things of the world. And where else are we going to find out all that we want to know if we don't read and travel . . . . probably the only authentic ways to ever discover how someone else really thinks and lives?

I see you just add Lewis to your shelf. I've read him a few times and I think he is such a complicated and interesting man. I'd love to know your feelings about him sometime. (cont)
