Ophelia: A Novel

Ophelia: A Novel | Lisa Klein

Ensnared!

I was completely entranced by this book, I literally read it in about 5 or 6 hours. I could not put it down! Lisa Klein is very talented. The story is well told with an amazing understanding of Shakespeare's original work. I think that any curriculum teaching Hamlet should also include Klein's "Ophelia". I had never really thought much about the character of Ophelia before, never speculated why Hamlet would have fallen in love with her in the first place, or what she really adds to the plot… read review

HOW many books in a year???

Last year, while checking out the online groups I came across a group that challenged readers to try and read 25 books in a year...now to a chronic reader such as myself that just seemed preposterous! I thought to myself "Self, 25 books in a year?! HAH! We probably read that in a few months!" So, me, myself and I thought upon it a bit more... I decided that I needed to find out how many books DID I read in a year? How many pages? How long did it take me to read a book?

Thus was the … view post

oh, and also, how far in advance do you get advanced copies of books? can you get ANY book? and how's that work....do you have to pay for it or is it a copy that's sent to the store in general? just curious because there's a book coming out by one of my favourite authors - lori lansens - who happens to be the same author i want to get my book signed by that i mentioned in my earlier post.

    anyway, just curious! lol.....

hey couple questions for you....first, you know how sometimes they relase the "movie tie in" book when a book is made into a movie? is it any different than the original book? i just thought since you worked with books, you'd be the one to ask...second, do you know how to go about getting an author to sign a book? i mean if they wont be doing author appearances anytime soon. i checked for the author website and there is none...just her publisher's site. and there's no personal email either.

    Lil Moo says:

hey have you read any more of cabot's books? like the heather wells or "boys" series? thinking of trying them, but my library doesnt carry them so i'd have to buy them. and i dont want to buy them if they're crap.
