Captive Queen: A Novel Of Eleanor Of Aquitaine

Captive Queen: A Novel Of Eleanor Of Aquitaine | Alison Weir

This is a Great Novel!

I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! Alison Weir grabs the reader right from the first chapter and keeps the exciting pace up throughout the entire book. A riveting portrayal of the life of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry II of England. She certainly does a fine job bringing this historical period to life. I can't wait to read more novels from this very gifted author. read review

Hi Cate! Glad you liked it. I agree...thought it was better than the White Queen...Margaret was definitely a character you love to hate :) I have high expectations for the next novel. I believe it is about Elizabeth and is going to be called the White Princess? Should be a good read...too bad we have to wait until the summer!! Hope all is well! Ttys!

Hi Cate! Thanks for the review of TL! It sounds great. I have it on my bookshelf, but haven't had a chance to dig into it yet. Am in the middle of enjoying Book 2 of a Robin Hood inspired trilogy. So many good books, so little time! :) Your trip sounds amazing. J

Hi Cate, THANK YOU!! i got the novel. It came in the mail on Monday. I would have wrote earlier, but i was in a minor fender bender with a 18 wheeler. ( weird to say minor when it involves an 18 wheeler truck LOL). I'm fine. 100% his fault. i had to run around with getting the car to the auto body shop and deal with the Insurance company. So i dont want you to think you were forgotten, cause you were not. Once again,Thanks!!!
