What I liked about this book was the history of Catalina and learning a bit more of the Spanish side. Philippa Gregory is always brilliant in her descriptions and writing style. Although I found her lacking a bit in this book. I think it had a lot to do with the unending internal thoughts of Catalina. There were a few that almost made it becoming a book just recycling itself through the chapters. In the end, it was still good and a descent read. read review
