Best Ancients rules in 20 years

These rules are approachable, easy to read, and, although the mechanisms are simple, they have real depth and subtlety. They are well written and beautifully illustrated (thanks to Osprey). In my first five games, I have yet to find a situation that the rules did not cover. The index is competent and the layout of the rules is excellent, with colour coded sections for quick reference. I'm a new Canadian, born in the U.S. where I went to school and spent a dozen years in the U.S. Navy. I'm now a ful time writer in Toronto. I wrote eight espionage novels with my Dad (Kenneth Cameron) as Gordon kent, and now I write historical novels (as Christian Cameron). I'm married and have a daughter, aged four (and a half, she'd say).
