Emerson Cole: Blonde Spitfire

Originally posted at http://www.lostatmidnightreviews.blogspot.ca/ Emerson Cole, please teach me how to be as epic as you. I was a bit skeptical of this book at first. I’m not sure why, considering I love the idea of time travel, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it. I kept hearing positive reviews though, so I purchased it and finally picked it up a few weeks later. And I fell in love with it. A lot of that love is for one Emerson Cole. Seriously, I adore that girl. A tiny blond s… read review

I AM LEAVING YOU A NOTE HERE AND I BET YOU'RE GOING TO BE SO SURPRISED WHEN YOU SEE IT.

I just felt like it's been a while since I left you a note here.
    That's all.
And I can't get on Twitter right now lol.

I wonder how long it will take you to see it.
Unless you see it through checking your email or something.

    Hmm.

    *does a dance*

Notes can be much longer that tweets.

    So many characters!

    Too many characters.

    I'm having a panic attack.

    STILL NOT DONE?

    Oh wait-

I think I'm using inappropriate words on twitter and now inappropriate people are following me lol.

Really? But that's why I don't think it was a good clue. Because EVERYONE had red hair. Even Dorian. Even so, it was really stupid to bring in that plot ploy in the last book.
I won't lie, despite how convenient/stupid it is that Dorian is the father, I still kinda like it :P Except him not knowing is REALLY DUMB.
And what's her problem with never killing anyone off? Argh.

Yeah... it was clearly like "welp, that storyline was a mistake" *tosses aside.* It seems like it was only there to introduce The Book of Spells. Which, by the way, was also ridiculous because it promised to explain the history of Billings from the BEGINNING and it DIDN'T.

It's very weird reading Vengeance. Like, all the other books were a part of a multiple book arc, but this one is a story all to itself. It's strange having it tacked on to the end.

Okay. I honestly am really hating Iron Crowned right now. Like, I can't think of a single thing I like about it. Jasmine has just been captured, which, what? That doesn't make sense. And I haven't cared about this book since Kiyo came back in her life. So I skipped to the end of the book to see if Jasmine was going to get pregnant or something and Eugenie is having Kiyo's children? WHAT THE F*CK. I can't even think of a stupider plot ploy.

  • crimson

    crimson says:

Oh goodness, Kiyo's back? Am I gonna have to suffer through him for 2/3 of the book? I hope he dies during the search for the Iron Crown. Because really, I've never really liked him and now I'm being forced to read about him.

I'm getting the hang of it, but there's just sooo much to do on a Blackberry lol. The set up is really REALLY annoying, especially if you're a newbie like me and don't know what you're doing. I *think* I figured out how to connect my email and I've got the texting down lol. I just don't know what other things I was supposed to set up.

  • crimson

    crimson says:

That really sucks. I know how you feel. I'll admit, I wouldn't know how to handle your exact situation. I've never been with someone as long as you were and I've always been the one to end things, so after I was always pretty okay. But I think one day you'll just wake up and be like "hey, I'm okay" and you'll move on. It does suck that all this is happening at the same time, but, hey, if you can handle this (and you will), you can handle anything :P

Ciara, I just have to say. I got a Blackberry for my birthday (nine days early lol ... I've been getting my presents weeks early this year ... mostly because I'm buying a lot of them myself and then my mom is paying me back) and I love it. I have no idea how it all works, but I love it. I just want to fondle it all day.

The Garden Gnome book was okay. Pretty funny, but not hilarious. It did give me a few ideas for my book though :P
