WOW-Some Spoilers

Any of Kim Harrison's books based on post apocolyptic society, in Cincinati, called the Hollows, are an absolute riot. What is not absolutely hilarious about a four inch tall Pixie, that curses likem a drunken sailor. The whole series is great. view post

people would be happy about a world class museum heritage museum in his ward... a museum that didn't impact on city budgets in any way... didn't shut one shelter, one library, one rent-controlled apartment... ugh! They even took a piece of toxic land that was a liability to the city and cleaned it up! And all with private partnership money! Sorry... I just can't see a downside to this one, so why wouldn't the ward councilor be behind it? Sometimes I wonder...

I've posted to the Canadiana Group, the Bookworms Wanted, and written a post. I think you can only sign the petition on C2 once, but thank you! Heheheheh! The thing that really PO's me is the the city coucilor for that Toronto ward is at an NDP city counsilors' conference in Saskatoon all this week when all the important city meetings for the Museum are taking place... so much for municipal politics being nonpartisan. Guess he couldn't turn down a meeting with Mulclair. You'd think he, of all...

Thank you very much for your recommendation, this author certainly hits the historic period that fascinates me. I will be looking her up.
