Notes

  • Lady Ethereal Butterfly

    Lady Ethereal Butterfly says:

I'm definitely planning on reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. I ordered it about a month ago, but I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. I have a whole bunch of his book sitting on my shelf waiting to be read.

You are dead on! He does make average characters extraordinary. He deals with common themes (love, loss, loneliness, self-discovery) and turns them into something so beautiful and meaningful. He’s a great author.

    Happy Reading!

Thanks for letting me know. I look forward to reading Sputnik Sweetheart, even if it is a slight bit weaker. I bet it will still be great. Isn’t it one of his earlier works? He is my favorite author at the moment.

I've read Norwegian Wood and After Dark by Haruki Murakami, and I LOVED them. If you haven’t read Norwegian Wood, you must! There is one character from that novel that I can’t stop thinking about because she was so fragile, yet beautiful.

Did you enjoy Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami? I bought that book but I haven't read it yet.
