So, I have a pretty large list of books lined up, but I usually tend to stray from my plans, so if anyone has any suggestions of good books, please drop me a message here.

Fell into a reading slump, but getting back into the groove now. Still reading Tiger Warrior by David Gibbens. Just picked up Paul Theroux's The Old Patagonian Express - can't wait to get into that one!

Wow! Life by Keith Richards was such a long book, but very interesting.

Phew! Exams are done, finally! School is over, and grad is in June. Don't start next program til September, so I guess that means I have roughly 9 months to just.... READ! :D

Pilgrim in the Palace of Words was a great book. Both a travel memoir and a linguistic journal. The author combines the two well.

Would it be totally terrible if I went to a bookstore after work tonight to "look around" some more, after just buying a bunch of books next weekend? :s

Me and book sales are not a good thing. Happened to be in a mall on Black Friday to go see a movie and had about an hour to kill before meeting up. So, of course I went into the bookstore to "look around". The first thing I saw when I walked in was 'Buy 3 Get the 4th Free'..... well...... I went home with 4 new books. Picked up Lost City of Z, 1491, Wolrd War Z (for my Dad) and Life. Finishing up Pilgrim in the Palace.

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. School has been kicking my ass! Went to a travel trade show today at the Metro Toronto Convention Center as part of my studies, and picked up Pilgrim in the Palace of Words by Glenn Dixon who was at the event. I was able to get an autograph and meet with Glenn Dixon. Going to start reading tonight! Took me a good few weeks to finish reading the Last Gospel, was in a non-reading funk, but I'm back.

Just finished David Gibbins Crusader Gold and pages away from finishing The Last Gospel by the same author. One detail that bothered me in Crusader Gold was the fact that Gibbins didn't do all of his homework on some of the important aspects of history throughout his book. Examples are the swastika and the Toltecs... all in all it was a very good book.

The Oracle was great. It opened the door to a lot of other topics like geaology and the supernatural - I think I might get into the second one... Looks like a really interesting topic. Back to The Oracle, it had a lot of good background information, and a lot of good information about the 4 men who brought some light on the topic.

By the way, that book on Alexander the Great was amazing! So much information and detail!

Hey all! So, I picked up The Lost Symbol last week, and I'm going to start reading it tonight. Has anyone read it, or going to read it? What do you think of it so far? (no spoilers please). Lets start a group for this!
