I haven't read the 2nd Stieg Larsson book yet but can still be a little jealous that you have the third! LOL. I've read "Loving Frank" which I liked. I just finished The Bishop's Man which, although I don't think will the Giller was quite good. This morning I started the new Pat Conroy, South of Broad. I've read two other of his books and like the southern setting. I'm going to google earth Charleston and take a virtual walk through the neighbourhood. I'll keep in mind the Melissa Bank.

Well now I'm on a roll. I just finished Labor Day by Joyce Maynard and loved it. I would definitely recommend picking this one up in the near future. Don't look at the cover, just start reading.

I saw Ian Brown at the Eden Mills Writers Festival where he read from his book. He managed to have the crowd smiling at parts and, me especially, near tears. While I don't often read that type of book I may pick it up.

My mind went completely blank when you asked what I had read and enjoyed lately which is normal for me. Now, I've come up with one - The Day the Falls Stood Still. I was caught up in the story immediately. Its a love story and historical. I liked the history and descriptions of Niagara Falls. The story can be more interesting when you are familiar, at least somewhat, with the setting.
I also just (and I mean just as in 5 minutes ago) finished Town House by Tish Cohen. Light quirky fun!

Hey! I'm still a little bit confused about some things. How can I put that I am a chapters employee? Everyone seems to have been able to do this. Haha
And can I select which books appear on my profile?

Hi Deirdre! I hope that you enjoy "Book of Negroes"! It was such a captivating story. I am so pleased that it won the "Canada Reads".
I hope that all is well over at Chapters! I miss everyone terribly! Please keep me up to date on what's new and hot!

am i able to just leave after the movie? i think i'm going to wait before buying the movie. unless of course one of the pre-reqs for going to the screening is purchasing the movie...

we're going for the screening for sure lol and the games and prizes, i hope i win something lol (i never win)

just another question (sorry) - do you know how the line ups are going to work? i'm nervous about showing up at 8p, ending up in a huge line up out the store. waiting an hour to get to the front of the line and then not get in because it's full to capacity. My friend said "i'm getting in no matter what, just tell me what time i should get there so i don't have to put up a fight" lol she's as excited as a 12 year old lol
