On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Content tab, click to select the Enable JavaScript check box.
Click the Go back one page button to return to the previous page, and then click the Reload current page button to run scripts.

Internet Explorer

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
Click the Internet Zone.
If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
a. Click Custom Level.
b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

My husband and I recently went to see The Golden Compass, of which I had been expecting great things. The trailers for this film were spellbinding, there were some noteworthy actors, and I admit that I couldn't wait to read my copy of the book before I went to see the movie. After this painful ordeal, I have decided to share with anyone who may be considering skipping the novel and getting to the theatre, my caution against this. The story is dark but engaging. It is a long chapter book, so you could not read it aloud in one session. My 5 year old likes the story, but finds some content a little beyond her understanding.
