Notes

  • Peter Edwards

    Peter Edwards says:

I often try to screen out negative things, which I imagine sounds odd, considering my book is about mass murder. My favorite teachers told me good things to build upon, and I've found the best editors are that way. Helter Skelter is thorough and fascinating. I am amazed at what people are capable of doing, both in a positive and negative way.

    Peter Edwards says:

You have to ignore negative teachers. My daughter had the same thing happen to her, which really upset me. I have a book called "Rotten Reviews" which I really like, as it shows nasty reviews of great writing. I heard Alice Munro talk about how long it took her to get her own voice. I was really lucky, as she spoke to my Grade 9 class. My book came out two weeks ago. Another one came out a day after the trial ended. Mine has a bright yellow cover.

Glad to be on your friends catagory. Sounds fascinating, teaching on a Hutterite colony. Do you write yourself?
