Even when you thought the author had unveiled the killer, things still managed to take a few twists and turns.

This was a good book, somewhat bizarre story line: a modern day Frankenstein. Very typically John Saul. An easy read, kept you on the edge of your seat. I did find the ending a little flat, left loose ends to parts of the story and characters. I would recommend this book to lovers of murder, mystery thrillers.

A very interesting surprise!!!

Searching through the "Bargain Section" at Chapters one day, I came across this book. With an interest in Peru, and an impending vacation, I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how interesting this book was. It read like a novel as opposed to an encyclopedia. It wasn't a nail bitter but it was very informative as well as interesting and sometimes even funny. If you have an interest in Peru and its history and ruins I would recommend this book. read review

How are you? I'm sorry that I haven't replied until now. Was away in Ireland for a family member's funeral. Just got back. Have not read The Soloist yet, nor have I seen the movie. I will have to try both. My daughter has been wanting to see the movie as well, so maybe next weekend I will surprise her. I have not heard of If I Stay or the other two books you've mentioned, but will look them up. I'm reading The Lost Symbol now, and also Angela's Ashes that I picked up in Ireland. :)
