My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands

My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands | Chelsea Handler

Too funny for words...

What an incredibly funny novel. If you like Chelsea Handler, then you are going to have to read this one. A book about a variety of her One Night Stands. There are certainly 1 or 2 experiences in this book that take the cake! read review

Howie Mandel in Toronto

Last night - Dec 4 - I went to one of my local Indigo stores - Eaton Centre.
I bought Here's The Deal: Don't Touch Me by Howie Mandel.
He was there doing a book signing!

I was lucky enough to get him to sign the book. We had a nice little chat about how unique my name was - Caiti rather than Katie.

Did the official elbow bump with him too.

So nice to see how open he is about his Germaphobia.
Seems like a cool guy.

Anyone else have the … view post

I finally read Still Alice last month. Best book I've read in 2010, thanks for the recommendation. Not many books make me cry but I was bawling by the end! Let me know if you hit on any more goodies!

Hi, I know its been a while, but I just finished reading "Lovely bones" and "Flowers for Algernon". I enjoyed the books and have to admit that "Flowers for Algernon" is one of my favourite books. Thanks for the recommendation again. I wanted to recommend "The Bronze Horseman". It is a beautiful romantic story of 17 yr old Tatiana, with a war soldier Alexander in Russia, WW II. Give it a try, it is a page turner.

    Hey Caiti,

I think I remember the first portion being tough to get through due to the writing style. That being said I really like post-apocolyptic fiction so if that's not your bag it might end up being a lame read :(

I'm currently pushing myself through Generation X, and it's painful, I don't think I've read a really good book in a few months, but I do have still Alice which is coming with me on a work trip so hopefully that will pick things up!

Hope you had a wonderful Holidays!

Hey Caiti! Are you all ready for the holidays? I can't wait to see if Santa brought me some new books to read! ;) I finally read The Guernsey Literary and Potatoe Peel Pie Society...I quite liked it...loved how it developed and went from a silly little letter exchange to a full on talk about WWII. I loved the "fill in the blanks" idea of the communications...sometimes you had to "guess" what happened in between...which I thought was kind of neat...

What are you reading these days?

Thanks for the recommendation for Still Alice! I read it at the beginning of the summer, and I have to say, it was one of the best books I think I've ever read. Fantastic!
I see you've read Lovely Bones and Time Traveler's Wife, also. They were great too (although T.T.W was my favourite out of those two).
How did you like Guernsey Potato Peel Society? I bought it a while ago but haven't gotten around to reading it....

I loved The Road, let me know what you think, it's pretty dark, but once I got into it I was hooked!
