Unusual setting makes this mystery shine

This is a great mystery that brings the desert and the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia to life for the reader. The two main characters, Nayir al-Sharqi and Katya Hijazi, are interesting and sympathetic, and I found it fascinating to see them try to negotiate the many twists and turns of modern living in Saudi Arabia. read review
