This book has a strong aftertaste. In full honesty, I put the book down feeling disgusted and betrayed and because of those strong feelings I was convinced I had disliked it, hated it even. But, I knew it was one of those stories that had to sink in and needed a little time to mull over. To calm down. Just as an audience member might have to after viewing a heavy, controversial or shocking performance (which oddly enough is a very fitting description of this story all in its self).     Thanks for the recommendation of "The Thirteenth Take." I read the reviews and it mentions the Gothic novel, Brontë's "Wuthering Heights" as mentioned in the book. I love "Wuthering Heights," "Jane Eyre" and Ann Radcliff's "The Italian," so I clearly like the genre- I'll check it out.
