Blood And Fire

Blood And Fire | Shannon Mckenna

Not with a bang, but with a fizzle...

Let me preface this review by singing my praises for Shannon McKenna, one of my favourite authors who keeps me counting down the days until she'll deliver another delicious batch of McCloud goodness. It saddens me to say, however, that this story didn't tickle my literary taste buds. I won't reiterate the plot because you've probably already read the synopsis and although it sounds good in theory, what we end up with is another cat and mouse game with a mind controlling villain reminiscent o… read review

My reading has slowed down a bit. But I have recently been signing the praises of Stacia Kane's Holy Ghosts and it's two follow up books in the Downside series. Very dark and edgy, if you like urban fantasy. The main character is very different from the usual. I highly recommend it. I've written reviews for all three books. How about you? Anything steamy to recommend?

lol....glad you enjoyed Laurenston. I thought the books were really funny. Another favourite erotica writer is Lorelei James. I love her Rough Riders series. Very sexy alpha male cowboys. Yee Haw. You don't necessarily have to read the series in order, but I would recommend it. The first book is Long Hard Ride. Another good one is Lauren Dane's Laid Bare and sequel, Coming Undone.

lol....I would probably have to take back my rec's for Laura Dane and Maya Banks then. They both deal with menage and some sub/Dom. I used to like Lora Leigh, but as you said, her last couple Elite Ops books were dissappointments. I really enjoy her Borrowed Heart series though. Shelly Laurenston has a trilology of very funny, steamy books (Pack Challenge, Go Fetch and Here Kitty) that you might enjoy.

I'm in the middle of a self-imposed book buying ban right now because my TBR was something like 150 or so books. So I have to read at least half the stack before I can buy anything new, lol. It's a pretty eclectic mix of things, but I read a lot of urban fantasy, paranormal romance, erotica, chick lit and anything off the bargain table that looks interesting at the time.
