    Hi Lee Ann
I really did enjoy Sarah's Key when I read it. In fact, it was so vivid that I remember it as a movie... it's really weird actually - I have scenes in my head.
I am frantically finishing off the last 4 weeks of the semester. Have not started the final paper and that is likely an error! Then it will be to find a job. Sigh. Plan on being at Barnabas Jul 4 as hosts and the next week as guests.
    Blessings to your family

Hi Lee Ann... yes, read it but years ago. I'd like to read it again before seeing the movie. I remember it as disconcerting, and I wasn't sure I loved it by the end.
This month I'm reading the Twilight series since my daughter loves the books... I'm finished the 3rd and while I see it's attraction I've reached the part where I'm too old to appreciate the egocentric heroine!
I did read Julie and Julia last summer and am eager to see Meryl in the movie.
    All the best, K

Hi Lee Ann - No, I don't do my own translations; the publishers licence the translation rights and the non-English publisher finds the translator. I've had one book translated into Danish, and one into Macedonian, as well as the three in French. Macedonian is definitely the most exotic of my translations so far. Cheers - KV

    Hi Lee Ann,
Thanks so much for giving me a heads up on Silent Spring. I have just finished listening to the audio book and can't stop talking about it. It is too bad the author died at 56, what an incredible woman. I am glad she spoke out. I learned a lot from her book. I have just received the audio book The World Without Us. I will see if I can start that one next week. What are you currently reading?

  • Candace

    Candace says:

I totally agree with you. What i love about books is that they can also take you back in time or bring you in the future. I also love books that can bring out emotions and fully capture my imagination. :)
