Earth and High Heaven | Gwethalyn Graham

Between Earth and High Heaven is the Middle and That is Where I Would Rate This Book
3 years ago

I feel like I have read this one before. Star-crossed lovers whose families do not approve. Will they lose their families or each other? Not just Romeo and Juliet, but a lot of other characters. I think it is such a relevant story because it represents generational differences as well as family dynamics. It is about a new generation rebelling against the prejudices and customs of the former. In this novel times are changing but, as one of the character’s father points out, “it isn’t just a … read review

1 Girl and 73 GG Award Winners (and Counting!)

I am tempted to say "Just Because" but I think it's really so I can brag and say I did it. I have a good start. I have already read some of them and I was able to track down a copy of the first ever winner, "Think of the Earth", which was actually a decent murder-mystery. I have also decided I am not going to read them in order as some of them are … view post

Hey! I just wanted to remind you to check the Gregory Maguire Fans page. I wanted to get some conversations going about his books, but no one has responded to anything that I've posted. So please check it out and you can post other topics that you wish to discuss if they're not there already. Thanks! : D

I had a little trouble getting into it but once I did I loved it. The last book is fantastic!! Trying to get my 11 year old to read it. Her best friend read it and loved it.

I'm reading Vampire Academy now and am enjoying it thoroughly.

that's awesome, i'm so glad you loved it... i actually found out a couple of weeks ago that Cassandra Clare is making a 4th Mortal Instruments book about Simon (but Jace, Clary and co. will make appearances) to be released in early 2011. She also mentioned that it is ok to be optimistic that a movie will be made about the series!!! yay!!!

I love shopping in between seasons too, when they are trying to get rid of the rest of the previous season's clothes, so they go on sale. I usually just stick to my certain stores though, when it comes to everything. I'll buy things from other stores obviously, but if I am going to go on a shopping spree, I tend to spend the most at the same stores everytime..

I wear flats most of the time too, although even if I am just going to go shopping, I will wear heels just to beable to wear them.
Have you ever been into the shoe store Sping? I love their shoes!...Although they have been lacking in nice shoes lately which is sad.
