The Slap

The Slap | Christos Tsiolkas

Not what I expected

I was expecting to read a book about a child being slapped and the resulting furor. However from page one everyone is either having sex with their partner or thinking of having sex with someone else or having sex with their girlfriends on the side and there is alcohol and drugs constantly on the go. There seemed to be more interest in these activities than getting on with the story. I found it all boring and not what I expected. read review

This book releases in January 2009 in Hard Cover and I … view post
