Beatrice & Virgil

Beatrice & Virgil | Yann Martel

Haunting

Well, a $12 price tag at Costco led me to pick up Martel's latest, Beatrice & Virgil - a interesting, surprising macabre tale of the Holocaust by way of an allegorical play concerning the interactions between a howler monkey, Virgil, and a donkey, Beatrice. Thanks Matthew and good luck with your English major; I really miss university. I see you are doubly lucky in that you are living in Newfoundland.

Strongly recommend Chabon's Adventures of Cavalier and Clay. One of the best books I have read in last 10 years. I have read almost all of his stuff, oddly his best know Wonder Boys is only one left in my TBR pile.
