Hi Michelle! I'm good..hope you are too...don't bother with Queen's Lady. I got it and couldn't get through the first chapter...it struck me as kinda tacky! Wolf Hall is good!

Yep, I've spent many a weekend living and eating exactly like they did in the 1750's and 1812. I would love to do the kinds of re-enactments Philippa Gregory was talking about and the kind Elizabeth Chadwick does. That's why Elizabeth's books are so authentic..she re-enacts the time period she writes about. Doing that in England would be amazing! I don't know where I was when you were in school LOL! I do a great October unit on ghosts too. I'm a ghost walker at an historic site as well :D

I teach elementary grade 7 & 8 students. I did a re-enactment in Puerto Rico in April and stayed at a 500 year old fort in Old San Juan and last summer I did a 1758 re-enactment at Fortress Louisbourg on Cape Breton Island. We lived the time period in the actual buildings. I've also done re-enactments at Fort George and Fort Niagara in the Niagara-on-the-lake area and a re-enactment in old Quebec City and also at Lake George in New York...the fort that was used in the movie Last of the Mohicans!

Hi Michelle...How did it go last night? My son is still home from school today! Did you get her autograph or get a chance to meet her?
