I bought 'Anne of Green Gables' years ago but never got around to it until now. It is one of the best stories I have read, and it is no wonder L.M. Montgomery is still remembered for the lovable character she created until today. Also, I found myself wishing to visit P.E.I. again during the descriptive scenes. Anne is an orphan girl who is desperate for a new life; she waits at the train station for a Mr. Matthew Cuthbert to bring her to Green Gables. Matthew arrives but we realize that in … read review
