Contested Will: Who Wrote Shakespeare?

Contested Will: Who Wrote Shakespeare? | James Shapiro

Authorial Insights

Initially, I was really looking forward to reading the latest book about Shakespeare, but little did I know that I would get sucked into the world of the authorship question and really enjoy it! I, like Shapiro, still firmly believe that William Shakespeare of Stratford wrote the plays. While I realize that there are many plays that are a collaborative effort, I stil know that the glover's sone had his hand in them somewhere. Shapiro's extensive research to the other theories really helps me … read review

My Reading As Of Late....

Ok, so I had to do a terrible thing, but it was totally worth it. I broke with my summer reading theme so that I could read the new Stephenie Meyer novella "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner". It was such an amazing insight into the story and into the mind of Stephenie. I really loved it and I'm glad I read it, even though it didn't really work with my theme.
The worst part is that I might have to break from it again, I got a new book, and it looks really cool. It was a gift from one … view post

Yeah, the Twilight series was great I really enjoyed it. And it's so funny because everyone says New Moon was super long and drawn out (probably because they missed Edward ;) and I didn't find that at all! Still working on Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban, I really want to read more but I'm doing a course right now as well as working full time so I'm trying to balance everything. Once I'm done the course, I've going full force on the reading, my 'to read' pile is getting bigger and bigger...

Whoops! You're totally right, I just saw the publisher's notes on the page for The Host, it is adult fiction :S Oh well, there goes the gist of my review, maybe I'll like her next adult fiction novel after she's had more practice :)

    Sephora says:

Hey Neen! I finally finished The Host and wrote a review. It was okay but I predicted the ending about a hundred pages from the end.
I liked your comments on Pillars Of The Earth though and I picked up a copy the other day, it's on my gargantuan 'to read' list :)

The Setimus Heap book by Angie Sage that you are reading, do you like the author and book?

  • Sephora

    Sephora says:

Hi Neen, I'd be interested to know what you think of The Host, I'm in the middle of it right now (it's taking me forever to finish) and I find it's kind of dragging on, so unless it's got a spectacular ending, I'm not super impressed so far.
