What is Lit Idol anyway?

You’ve heard of American Idol. There’s Canadian Idol as well. Well, it was the British who came up with the original show --- Pop Idol.

Should it be any surprise then that the London International Book Fair chose to put their own spin on things in 2004 and introduce Lit Idol, a competition that set out to discover the next “it” writer?
