The Outlaw Demon Wails

The Outlaw Demon Wails | Kim Harrison

It keeps getting better....

Some major plot lines were concluded in the last Harrison book so I couldn't wait for this book. It was definitely worth it. I love the changes in Rachel especially with some big surprises that come out that will not only affect her but the Hollows community. Good writing, great character growth, Harrison gives a complete story but leaving you wanting another book...I can't wait. read review

I haven't read the most recent Betsy book yet! I probably will order it this week! Let me know how you like it!

I haven't seen the movie adaptation of the Diving Bell and the Butterfly, or read the book! Haha. One of the other community members, Naboo, recommended that book to me, and I thought it looked like a very worthwhile read, so I added it to my shelf.

I hope you have a good weekend! Happy Reading!

I don't have HBO either. I watched True Blood on one of the movie channels I get. I think the channel is called Movie Central. I had very mixed feelings about True Blood, but I think I could really like it with time. I don't see Sookie or Bill as the actors that play them. I do have to say that the actor who plays Sam is way hotter than the Sam I pictured in my head! One thing I liked about True Blood is that it didn't have commercials because of the channel it's on. Haha

I'm pretty picky too! Why read junk when there is so much good stuff out there, right? The trick is knowing the good books when you see them. :)

I'm really enjoying the Southern Vampire novels by Charlaine Harris! Did you by any chance watch the first episode of True Blood this past Sunday? If you aren't familiar with it, it is a TV show based on the Sookie books.

I know all about lists getting overwhelming! I have a 5 page table in a Word document that's a gigantic list of books I want!

You have a lot of interesting looking books on your shelf! I'm going to have to check some of them out.

Also, it's nice to see someone else who enjoyed the Mercy Thompson novels!

Right...exactly....well I really liked your summary of it- you are very good at explaining a novel really accurately without giving too much away!

  • Stephanie Leroux

    Stephanie Leroux says:

I admit, I enjoy a fantasy romance from time to time &I did enjoy The Darkest Night. Not a fav but good. As for bitten, I haven't read it yet. If I'm not mistaken, it's the first book of a series...

  • Kayleigh Sheehan

    Kayleigh Sheehan says:

Sorry about the line breaks, there. It has something to do with brackets. Anyway, I plan to read Then She Found Me based on your recommendation. Happy reading!

Paula, I’ve just stumbled upon your shelf. I have no particular fondness for Jane Austen (though I did enjoy the movie), and I think Will Ferguson is pretty funny. Have you read How to Be a Canadian?

  • Kate Matthews

    Kate Matthews says:

I know! Water for Elephants was fantastic and I love that it was unpredictable. It's such a good read. Let me know what you think of Hannah's Dream if you end up reading it. :)
