Dragged down to Hell and Loving It!

I adored this book. Brooding, punk rock, sarcastic as hell -- it's like a pulp fiction novel hijacked with a lead pipe and force-fed comics, Jack Daniels and fishnet stockings until it rises from the dead and shambles onto Hollywood Boulevard. I read this book before the author's seminal Butcher Bird, and enjoyed this one even more. At it's heart it's a revenge tale, but it takes so many joyrides through out Hell and a modern-noir Hollywood -- not the glistening tinseltown that we imagine but a… read review

Hi. Thanks for the invite. I like how you have written little 'blurbs' for a lot of the books on your shelf. You should turn them into reviews for the books because I noticed alot of them don't have any reviews online yet. That's cool that your dad is an author. Is there one book on your shelf that you would recommend over all the rest?

Oops, lol, it would help if I learned to spell names correctly. I found information on the book through Wikipedia and noticed that it's also part of a series. It sounds very interesting.

Hello! Thanks for the invite to become friends. It's so nice to meet you. I couldn't help but notice that you love funky footwear. I've a 'thing' for shoes so I couldn't help but smile upon reading those two words.

I've had a quick look through your shelf and wanted to ask you about the book Band of Gypsys. I cannot find a synopsis on it and was hoping you'd tell me a little about it if you wouldn't mind.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend :)

I've only read Norwegian Wood and After Dark. I own a whole bunch of books by Haruki Murakami, and I plan to buy the ones don't have. I absolutely love his writing style. Norwegian Wood is my favorite too. I think I'm going to have to read another novel by Murakami soon.

    Hey!

I see you've read Norwegian Wood too. I loved that novel. It was so surreal and original. You might enjoy After Dark by Haruki Murakami.

    Happy reading!
