Kept my interest!

I quite liked this book. I had been wanting to read a book that kept me intrigued throughout the book that was on leprosy, and this one did. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone. read review

Saskatoon Book Club

Hi! I am curious to know if there is any people who live in Saskatoon that go to Chapters/Indigo/Coles that are in a Book Club or are interested in joining a Book Club. I was in one earlier this year that fell apart due to lack of interest and dedication. view post

Part 2...As for Picoult, I've read several including Sisters Keeper but got angry with her. I'm tired of her formula-type plots and characters and being duped as a reader. So, I'm done with that author-reader relationship. I really do think we have similar interests. I just find I need to read something "light" after reading a "heavy" non-fiction so tend to alternate. Hope all is well in Saskatoon. TTFN.

Whew! My self-esteem has gone back up a few notches. My "pile" is in my Plan to Read list with other titles not yet bought. My list is not as prolific. Thanks to you I can shop on your profile now for cultural titles.

OMG Sara! Do you really read 11 books at the same time? Talk about multi-tasking. I feel pretty inadequate. :)

Thanks for letting me know about your 5 rating. For me, a 5 means I loved it (content and writing style), would recommend it to others and it has had a lasting impact on me. I love non-fiction too (biographies and memoirs) but mostly about everyday people - not celebrities - and from other cultures. We will make great book-friends!!

Hi Sara, Yes, we definitely have common interests! I look forward to seeing your ratings (1-5) and any comments on books you've read. I've got some great ideas from your profile already! I also look forward to having a book "friend" from Saskatoon. FYI, I'm from Orillia, Ontario - just north of Toronto. This will be fun! Thanks.
