  Munsch describes his stories as "middle of the road taboo." When he uses words like pee and underwear, "the kids go absolutely bananas." As for the parents, "Eighty percent think it's really neat; the other twenty percent ask, 'How could you?' Munsch and his wife live in Guelph, Ontario. He spends most of his time writing, and likes to devote his spare time to making school visits and telling stories — often without advance notice — at day care centers, schools, and libraries.

• Must Read Books For Kids

  I am a mom who grew up with a love for books and am passing my love of reading down to my infant son. We spend time at the library every week, and can't pass a bookstore without going in to check out the deals. I would like to find out which books your kids love, so my son and I can check them out and continue to fill our home library with great books for him to grow up with.
