Gods Behaving Badly

Gods Behaving Badly | Marie Phillips

It was ok but I was hoping for more.

I picked this one up because I thought it had such an interesting concept. What do Gods do in a modern world full of people who have forgotten they exist? It started off quite funny, I liked their lack of concern for mortals & the jobs they managed to come up with to survive. However, it wasn’t enough, by the middle the story simply fell flat. It continued with more of the same jokes with characters, Gods & Mortals alike, who were simply not that likeable. Also, by the midpoint in the no… read review

Hi Skye! Yes, I'm still reading Mistborn (I'm about a third of the way into it), and I'm really enjoying it. The world is well thought out and the "magic" system is very good.

For the Hitchhiker's Guide, the "Trilogy in Four Parts" is perfect. Technically, there's a 5th story in the trilogy "Mostly Harmless", but you can always pick that up later if you want. The first four can stand alone easily and they are the best ones anyway.

    Cheers and Happy Reading! =)

Just dawned on me. First Wed. of the month I'm at the store at night as I host the Romance book club and the crafters club. And the second Tuesday of each month I'm there for the teen'paranormal book club. Both of which start at 7:00pm. If you're around just ask for Tracy. Someone will find me, unless I'm at the mall eating supper.LOL

Bigger girl, blonde, really smiley with a sweet voice. That would be Kallie. She's a sweetie and working on being a singer. She's got a great voice and loves to read the same stuff. She's part of our teen/paranormal book club.

    Hey Skye
Sorry I didn't get your note yesterday. Worked an overnight on Sunday and didn't turn on the comp yesterday. But I work days 9-5 almost without exception. Hope you found some great books though. Hope the list helped and you can never have too many books.

Same with me. I love the Hobbit, and LotR movies are fantastic! I really want to read the books.

I'm reading A Long Way Gone, by Ishmeal Beah. It's his story of being a boy soldier during the war in Seirra Leone in the 90's. Its a great book, but really heartbreaking.

I just finished Water for Elephants, by Sara Gruen. It is amazing and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend reading it. It's a story that welcomes you with warm arms, and bids you to stay for tea....but anyways... :S.
