Angelology

Angelology | Danielle Trussoni

Terrific

As per the Bible in Genesis, angels mated with humans and produced offspring. The angels are punished, the children ignore their parents and wage a secret war with humans. A select society of humans are aware of their presence and do battle. A young nun discovers hints in the convent archives, and the history is revealed, and the war starts in earnest. The ending leaves you for begging for more. read review

That is good to hear, I like when I get into things near the beginning, If there are too many books in a series it can be a bit too intimidating.

Enjoy, I have enjoyed her stuff, since the first book I picked up on a bargain table at a Coles in Winnipeg. Her best book IMO was The Eagle and the Raven (about the Roman conquest of the British Isles), but I have enjoyed all her Historical Fiction, but not her one Mystery and the one Sci-Fi.
I always like promoting this genre, and particularly Canadians.

oh yeah spoiler alert - there is a small, quick mention of Steve Berry's cotton malone in this book :)

If you didnt like the 1st one you may not like this one. I liked this one better though. I did think, and not to knock anybody's religion, that it did have some valid points closer to the end about how people can believe so much in a religion that was dictated by an emperor to bring his empire together thus giving us the christianity we believe in today (when we really dont know what the truth is). If you can borrow a copy may be best as you may enjoy this one more.

Hi Steve, thanks for the acceptance. I agree with you on your comment about the Venitian Betrayal - I only got into Steve Berry when the Templar Legacy came out but I really enjoy his writing. I wish there was a historical/adventure category for books. I have looked through your shelves and have put a few on my "plan to read" list. Its nice to find someone else interested in something other than all fantasy novels (A litlle I can handle but geez the world is flooded with that stuff)

I'll go check them out...thanks. The Secret History of Christianity has always fascinated me. I grew up in the orthodox Catholic faith. I'm now a Gnostic after everything I've read...the hidden secret teachings holds way more fascination for me than the public teachings of the Bible

Awesome...looks right up my alley! Might have to make a little trip to the bookstore today. I read your review and one thing popped in my head. While researching my own family history, I noticed several siblings with the same name. Mary was a common one. Turns out that since infant mortality rates were so high in the 1800s, they'd often name more than one child with the same name. It happened with boys too. Just a little interesting fact I found out. Thanks for the book suggestion!

Thank you Steve for inviting me to be a friend, and it seems that we have a lot in common with our interest with historical fiction, or just plain history itself. Looking forward to hearing from you from time to time.

Hmmmm...I don't normally go for historical fiction but I'll give it a go. Thanks for the suggestion.
