When I heard about this book I was excited. I liked the concept, the hint of romance that was promised and the beatiful cover art drew me in. Sadly though, this book did not hold my interest. I found that Violet's powers to located murdered bodies took a back seat to her awkward budding romance with her bestfriend. I felt that the book had a very simply writing style and effectively allowed for the plot to unfold, but I believe the book would have benefitted from another hundred pages or so to … read review

It feels as though its been forever since I last logged into the chapters community. Sure I log in for five minutes here and there when I can find the time but this was once part of my daily routine. I miss being able to share great books with other members.     I'm really enjoying Tanya Huff's style of writing and also find the fade-to-black love scenes kinda refreshing. Its been a while since I've had to use my imagination for a sex scene. Have you read the Smoke?? series Huff wrote recently with Henry and Tony and takes place in Vancouver?
