The Night Circus

The Night Circus | Erin Morgenstern

Don't see what the hype was about...

So I heard very good things about this book before it came out. It seemed like everyone was praising it, and I have to say, I don't see why. The book was ok at best. I found the characters very one dimensional with no character or relationship development. The author does describe things beautifully, but it gets really repetitive. Nothing really happens until halfway through the book, and even then, I found the ending to be anti-climactic. She attempts to create an air of mystery that I just di… read review

Potty Training Advice for Puppies?

So this is day one that we have brought home this puppy and he seems to think that the carpet is THE place to pee. Every time he wakes up from his nap I take him straight out, and he pees (which I of course reward with his favourite treats and praise!), then walks around a bit and sits down. As soon as we come back inside he finds a nice new space on the carpet and pees! I don't know what to do! view post

Thanks for your response to my post. I plan to read J.R Ward and may try Patricia Briggs. Thanks for your honest opinion on Kresley Cole and if you have an Author or book that is a 'must read', please pass it on!

I just finished Stay from Rachel Vincent. I loved the book and went out to buy the other books in the series. I'm a big fan of Kelley Armstrong but I have to admit Rachel VIncent just caught my attention. She's amazing. I'm a dog lover and usually go for werewolf stories but Stray got me hooked on werecats. The characters Faythe and Marc were so real that I had a hard time letting them go when the book was finished. Great story. Have you read it?

    Hey,
I have tales of the Otherworld but I haven't read it yet. I'm about half way through the series. Right now I'm reading Lover Enshrined by J.R.Ward. I see you read Dark Lover. Once thats done I'm not really sure what I'll read. I have lots of book to read and I have ordered the next Charlaine Harris. I can't wait.

I've always had a dog my whole life. I've had the good fortune of helping out with rescuing 2 wolves a few years ago and that was amazing. I love horses too. I live in a rural area where there's lots of farmers with horses, cows etc... I love animals in general -- I guess. Wild ones especially make me happy. We have moose and deer not far from home and they impress me a lot. I could go on and on about animals...... I've also been to Manhattan a few times during Christmas and New Year.

I've been to Mississauga and Guelph. Where are you planning to settle down once you graduate from school? What are your favorite pets. I love dogs. Do you speak French? For sure here in Montreal -- it's a must. I actually live on the south shore of Montreal in a rural area called Carignan. I'm about 15 mins from the big city. Why would you want to live in Manhattan? It's nice but it's a city... I'm a freelance writer so I don't write for any particular magazine.

Good for you - veterinary school. It must be demanding! Where are you from? I'm from Montreal, Quebec. I graduated in Creative Writing in University. I write a lot but most of it is for magazine or for corporations etc... I've been playing around with the idea of writing a book for a few years now. It's all about time right? I don't seem to have enough of it. I love urban fantasy too. If you like books on vampires too you may want to check out Laurrell Hamilton.

What are you studying in school?

I love writing and reading as well. I'd love to write a story about werewolves. There aren't as many stories about werewolves as there are about vampires. I love reading about creatures that are of the ordinary: Werewolves, were creatures in general, vampires, empaths, witches etc... YOU?

Check out L.A. Banks werewolf series. You'll love it. It's a mix of Armstrong and Briggs. Tell me what you think!

I have to be honest when it comes to werewolves it's difficult to find good stories. It all depends on the author's perspective.

Are you simply a reader or a writer too?
