It's not that I expected more from this novel, but there wasn't the initial oomph and gripping storyline that I normally am attracted. I remember not liking Vincent's first adult-oriented novel either, so I'm certainly willing to reserve judgement until I've read more. There's a part of me that also wanted a bit more interaction with Nash, a little more development. It all happpened too quickly and I like the sort of, reasonably, drawn out relationships.
