Naked In Death

Naked In Death | J D Robb

Worth a Second Look

Eve Dallas, quite frankly, is your typical tough and kick-ass police officer of the future. She comes nicely packaged with a traumatizing past and a severe issue with socialization. Not that it's a bad thing; just not uncommon to see in this sort of genre. In this first installment of quite a lengthy series, someone likes to murder prostitutes and it's Lt. Dallas stuck trying to solve the mystery. This serial killer is all kinds of crazy, leaving the crime scene and calling the police shortl… read review

An Endless Pile of Books!

I have a terrible habit of purchasing books on a complete whim and not reading them straight away. Usually, this urge tends to kick in during summer break and winter break. This year, I'm proud to say, I haven't succumbed as much as I usually do, although I have made a few guilty book buys occasionally.

What makes these impulse purchases about ten times worse, is that they tend to be a part of a series and usually, a rather lengthy series consisting of 7 books or more. They`re … view post

I have to admit, that the JD Robb books are one of my guilty pleasures. Like I said, I love all the characters and I really enjoy my twice yearly catch up with them. I find the books are rather formulaic, but each story has been a good and usually somewhat gruesome mystery. I really like her view of the future, like autochefs and paid full-time parents, lol. And who wouldn't want to fantasize about a Roarke of their own. I get misty every time I think of the button (you'll see what I mean)

oh, I see you are also trying out JD Robb. Another great series. I'm totally hooked on all the characters that get introduced over the first few books. After that, it's kind of like following a soap opera except with serial killers. Now that I think about it, don't soap operas often have serial killers too?

I find it interesting that you list your favorite musicians as Lacuna Coil. I like them as well and have never met anyone who knows who they are. They are coming to Toronto to play the Opera House May 25th and I plan to be there.
