This was our book club pick for February! I downloaded it to my Kobo and started reading! This is one of those books that draws you in and makes you long for time to read! I read in car, the ice rink (yes I should have been watching the game) and in bed. I stole every minute I could get!

The book is told by Bee (Bernadette's daughter) in a series of emails and letters. At time it is laugh out loud funny! The story gives us a inside look a Bernadette....her rise and fall. Bernadette has lost touch with reality and has even outsourced her life to a virtual assistant in India!

Without giving it away; Bernadette disappears and Bee is determined to solve the mystery!

This book is light & fun and guaranteed to make you smile....if not laugh out loud!

In the past year I have started mysore.....the problem I have been getting sore! I wondered if I was doing it "right". This book takes you step by step through the primary series in great detail. (ie. which muscle are working)

It was nice to read, pause & try and continue on. The pictures were great. I have a lot to learn; but this book will continue to be a great resource!

The Dressmaker is a different take on the sinking of the Titanic. While we all know the horrors and tragedies of the sinking; this story takes us to New York and the trials that ensued after.

While fiction; the author does a great job drawing us into what happened in those lifeboats. Why were so few filled, why did only one boat go back for survivors in the water? Who is to blame for the sinking?

A tale of survival on many levels. I loved watching the story unfold. Tess was a very refreshing heroine.

I was completely enthralled by this book! It was beautifully written and I couldn't put it down. I knew very little of this accident; but love stories of survival. A plane goes down in the north; in the middle of winter. 4 men survive and forge very unlikely friendships.

For one day (the same length of time these men waited to be rescued) I read and read. There was no way I could stop. Thank you Ms Shaben for sharing your fathers journey. It is not one that I will soon forget.

I adore my new Kobo mini!!!! I just could not resist and grabbed one as a gift for me! I already have a kindle (which I love) but the kindle does not allow me to borrow library books. Since the Kobo Mini is such an incredible price I though having both would be great! So far I have only changed ONCE since November 24 and I read every night before bed. The borrowing of library books was much easier then I thought (trust me - If can do it; so can you)
I am currently reading The Dressmaker (borrowed from the library). If you are on the fence; I say go for it! This tiny little reader will be awesome for travelling; and you can load it with FREE books to boot!

I am very happy with the purchase; and can't wait to get a colouful snap back at Christmas.

I travel about 10 weeks a year; and this is going to be awesome on the plane!

I saw this bowl in the store and instantly fell in love! It is gorgeous. the bowl is perfect for entertaining and will hold olives or nuts (something small; hence the nibbling part of the bowl description). The olive wood is beautiful. Wish they sold in a set of two or four.

Ms Clark's debut novel CHAI TEA SUNDAY is going to well received, on many book club lists and talked about around the water cooler! The story is tender, beautiful, sad, and yet filled with hope!

With no spoilers Nicky and her husband Eric are struggling with fertility issues; a devastating loss sends them both reeling. Eric retreats within himself and Nicky heads to Kenya to teach in an orphanage. It is here that her true journey begins.

Pour a cup of Chai, snuggle in with a blanket and read away. This is book to get lost in.

It has been a long time since I have found a book that swept me off my feet! On the Island was the just book I needed. It is a good, quick...breath taking read. I honestly read this by the pool in an afternoon. I could not put it down.

Brief review - TJ and Anna are headed to the Maldives; where Anna will be tutoring TJ (who is in remission). On the way the plane crashes and TJ and Anna are left stranded. Survival mode kicks in!!! The author did a great job, TJ and Anna's story of survival kept me reading. This is the kind of book that sucks you in; and you mourn the loss when you are done!

This is not just another cookbook! This will quickly become your kitchen bible! The recipes are healthy, fun and everything I have tried has been fabulous! The Morrocan Stew was to die for and I had a ton of compliments. The simple salmon with dill sauce - unbelievable! The best part......HEALTHY! New takes on old favorites - from butter chicken, pizza to lasagna! This is one cookbook that needs to be in your kitchen.

It has been TWO weeks since I read this book and changed my food habits and I have never felt better! I am more alert and feel amazing! I am eating more veggies, healthy fats and protien and have noticed my body responding! The book is well written and very informative! I highly recommend the read. In comparssion to the Paleo diet; Wheat Belly still allows flax, quinoa and dairy products (and gives reasons why). Dr Davis explores how wheat has changed and evolved over the years into a grain that our bodies are not processing.
